Oh, Terod! This is so beautiful, so meaningful, so moving. I have had to take another day off from Substack today. But at a glance, I saw the tag, then read your poem. I’m so glad I did.
Sometimes the right words do not ask for much; they simply wait at the door until the heart has enough breath to open. Thank you for letting my lines sit with you, Kelly, even for a moment. Please take the rest you need. Substack will still be here. The fire will still be here. And so will the circle.
What you have written is true. The words do wait. And they notice when the moment asks for them. We cannot rush them. We cannot force them. So we honor them, we honor the words.
Thank you for all of the beautiful tags. I am so glad I have learned how to alter my Substack habits and finally allow myself the pleasure or writing poetry; following up on the tags. We do create something beautiful with each word.
You left the love completely silent, just a pair of hands, and let the child do all the talking. I didn't have this exact setup but I know that quiet, and I'm not going to pretend it didn't reach me...
Oh . how much I enjoyed this poem! It really touches the true essence of the important parts of the story 🧡
Thank you for staying🔥

Loved this, the magic can be found in between the big stuff. This is the joy of becoming an elder, we get to appreciate these little diamonds 💎
They shapes us for the better, yes.
😭😭 There would be no big things without these moments. These are the ones that matter. Absolutely beautiful, Terod.
Thanks Alicia🙏🏾
So much of life is built in the ordinary moments.
They're often the very things that become the life we remember.
Beautifully written.
You nailed it rider🔥
